Frequently asked questions

What does per CPU mean?
All compute prices are per physical CPU core (2× hyperthread). You rent a full core, not a thread. A 4-CPU workload gives you 4 physical cores with 8 hyperthreads.
What is Akash / DePIN pricing?
Akash uses reverse auctions on decentralized infrastructure. You set a max price and providers bid to run your workload. The displayed +$0.004/CPU/hr is the platform markup on top of the winning bid. Memory, storage and egress are included in the bid.
What is the difference between Edge and Hyperscaler?
Edge deploys to DigitalFrontier-operated locations with on-demand and confidential tiers starting at $0.0472/CPU/hr. Hyperscaler runs on GCP data centers with three tiers: Spot ($0.0472), On-Demand ($0.1416) and Confidential ($0.1888), backed by full cloud SLAs.
Can Spot instances be interrupted?
Yes. Hyperscaler Spot VMs can be reclaimed with 30 seconds notice. They offer significant savings but are best for fault-tolerant or batch workloads.
What are Confidential VMs?
Confidential VMs use hardware-based encryption to encrypt data in memory. Hyperscaler offers AMD SEV-SNP and Intel TDX at $0.1888/CPU/hr (4× Spot). Edge confidential (SEV/SEV-ES) is coming soon.
How does egress billing work?
Egress is free on Akash and DigitalFrontier Edge. On Hyperscaler, egress is a passthrough cost from the cloud provider — Premium tier at $0.16/GiB and Standard tier at $0.12/GiB — and subject to their pricing changes.
Do I pay for idle resources?
No. Billing is per-second with no minimum. When your containers are stopped, you pay nothing.
Do I need a credit card to get started?
No. Get started immediately with our pay-as-you-go pricing.

Ready to deploy?

Pay by the second on a sovereign EU edge — no minimums, no charge for idle resources, no credit card to start.
